DeRita is the founder and CEO of Resource Group of North America, where he successfully established the company as one of the premier government relations and business consulting firms in the state of Florida. With over 50 years of experience, Tom has provided expert guidance and representation to a diverse range of clients, including individuals, corporations, nonprofits, and governmental entities.

For over four decades, Tom has been active in politics and the community, serving in various roles for elected officials including former President Ronald Reagan, former President George W. Bush, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, and former Florida CFO Jeff Atwater, among many others. Additionally, DeRita has a deep commitment to giving back to the community. In 1992, DeRita founded the Big Heart Brigade, an organization with a mission to enrich the lives of those in need by providing holiday meals and other forms of support to the underserved. He has also served on several community boards, including the Martin Memorial Health System Foundation, YMCA of the Treasure Coast, Economic Council of Martin County (Past President), and the Adam Walsh Foundation, and he is the chairman of the board of advisors for Keiser University’s flagship campus.

DeRita holds a business degree from the University of Rhode Island and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Northwood University of West Palm Beach.
