Miguel Abad, Public Affairs Director

Prior to joining Capital City Consulting, Miguel served as a Legislative Aide in the Florida Senate. In this capacity, he managed the Senator’s legislative portfolio, oversaw policy, performed research, tracked and monitored bills, amendments, and appropriations. Throughout his tenure in state government, he gained knowledge in the areas of healthcare and human services, education, and appropriations.
In addition to his work in the Legislature, Miguel also gained knowledge within the Medicaid and Medicare managed care industry, completing his practicum with the Florida Association of Health Plans. His role focused on advocating on issues that enhance access to high quality, affordable health care.
Miguel received a Master of Public Health from Florida International University, with a concentration in Health Policy and Management and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.
