Matt Floyd is a Partner at Capital City Consulting, where he advises clients on government relations, regulatory strategy, and stakeholder engagement across Florida. Based in Tampa Bay, he brings experience from both the public and private sectors to help organizations navigate complex policy environments and achieve strategic outcomes.
Prior to joining Capital City Consulting, Matt served as Government and Stakeholder Relations Manager at The Mosaic Company, one of the world’s largest phosphate fertilizer producers, where he represented the company’s interests across Florida and Louisiana on complex environmental and industrial policy issues.
He previously served as Senior Manager of Government Affairs at Port Tampa Bay, leading engagement on key state and local priorities for Florida’s largest seaport, and as a Legislative Aide in the Florida Senate for Dana Young.
Matt earned bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and International Studies from the University of South Florida, where he was a quarterback and captain of the 2013 football team, and holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of South Alabama.
