Transitioning to Capital City Consulting in 2024, Heather brought with her fourteen years of experience in Florida and national politics. Heather Barker focuses on the firm’s fundraising efforts, including consulting clients on strategic opportunities .
Prior to joining Capital City, Heather served a six-year tenure as the primary fundraiser for Governor DeSantis’ political operation, rising from being the sole full-time political staffer before the 2022 midterms to the Senior Advisor during both the 2022 and 2024 campaigns.
Heather’s influence extends beyond fundraising; she has applied her acumen to diverse entities including political campaigns, committees, Super PACs, non-profits, and business development. From Presidential campaigns to issue advocacy, she has skillfully designed and executed plans centered around cultivating meaningful relationships.
In addition to her fundraising expertise, Heather has been frequently called on to organize conventions, state party galas, and gubernatorial inaugurations due to her proficiencies in budget oversight and large event execution.
A double graduate of Florida State University, Heather resides in Tallahassee with her husband and two children.
