Drew Meiner joined Capital City Consulting in 2023 after spending more than eight years working for Governor Ron DeSantis. Meiner most recently served as Senior Advisor to Governor DeSantis where he oversaw a number of state agencies including the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Gaming Control Commission, Public Service Commission, Lottery, Military Affairs, Veterans Affairs and Volunteer Florida. In this role, he worked on issues related to alcohol and tobacco regulation, gaming, utilities, emergency management and directly managed the formation of Florida’s first Gaming Control Commission and the reestablishment of the Florida State Guard.
Meiner also served as Governor DeSantis’ Director of Appointments where he oversaw more than 700 of the Governor’s appointments to the state’s top education, insurance, environmental, healthcare, energy and business regulatory boards. Prior to joining the administration, Meiner was a Deputy Campaign Manager on DeSantis’ gubernatorial campaign and served as Director of Operations to his 2018 Transition Team.
A graduate of Illinois State University, he resides in Tallahassee with his wife, Natalie and their golden retriever, Chuck.
