Drew Meiner is a Partner at Capital City Consulting and a government affairs strategist with extensive executive branch experience.
Drew Meiner joined Capital City Consulting in 2023 following more than eight years of service to Governor Ron DeSantis in senior leadership roles within the Executive Office of the Governor. He brings significant experience in regulatory oversight, agency management, appointments strategy, and complex policy implementation.
Most recently, Drew served as Senior Advisor, where he oversaw major state agencies and commissions, including the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Florida Gaming Control Commission, Public Service Commission, Florida Lottery, Department of Military Affairs, Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and Volunteer Florida. His work focused on regulatory policy across gaming, alcohol and tobacco, utilities, and emergency management, including leading the establishment of Florida’s first Gaming Control Commission and the re-establishment of the Florida State Guard.
He also served as Director of Appointments, overseeing more than 700 appointments to key regulatory and policy boards across education, healthcare, insurance, environmental, and business sectors.
Earlier in his career, Drew served as Deputy Campaign Manager for Governor DeSantis’ 2018 campaign and as Director of Operations for the gubernatorial transition.
