Established P3 Partnership to Modernize Hard Rock Stadium
The Hard Rock Stadium has become one of the most recognizable locations for hosting major events in the United States. Since completing major Stadium campus upgrades in 2018, this venue has welcomed major marquee events such as the Super Bowl LIV, Miami Open, International Soccer Matches, College Football Playoff Series, Formula 1 and now the World Cup. In 2013 the Miami Dolphins hired CCC Miami to lead negotiations with Miami-Dade County to reach an Agreement to provide public funding towards the $700 million modernization of what is now Hard Rock Stadium. The result was a first-of-its-kind Agreement that provided public money towards the Stadium Project at the time marquee events generating extraordinary tourism and impact to Miami-Dade County were attracted to the Stadium campus over the next 30 years. This innovative structure is now referred to a “Marquee Event Grant Agreement” and has become a model for publicly funding major facility and Stadium renovations and upgrades.
