Megan Fay is a consultant at Capital City Consulting, LCC, where she provides invaluable insights to clients on a wide variety of issues before state and local governments. Prior to joining Capital City Consulting, Megan served on Governor Rick Scott’s senior leadership team, most recently as Deputy Chief of Staff. In this capacity, Megan oversaw key government agencies, including the Department of Education, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, Florida Lottery, VISIT Florida, and Florida Housing Finance Corporation, among others. Further, Megan served as the primary contact for the Governor’s office to the Seminole Tribe of Florida and advised the Governor on matters relating to gaming policy.
Megan also served as Governor Scott’s deputy director of legislative affairs, deputy director of cabinet affairs, and staff attorney in the Office of Policy and Budget. In these roles, Megan cultivated strong relationships and an understanding of the legislative and cabinet processes. Over the years, Megan has had the opportunity to work closely with legislators and committee staff; shape ideas into legislation; analyze bills; and provide legal analysis on a wide variety of issues including campaign finance, special districts, and local government law.
Prior to joining the Executive Office of the Governor, Megan worked as a senior attorney in the division of real estate for the Department of Business and Professional Regulation where she prosecuted Real Estate Commission and Real Estate Appraisal licensure cases before the Division of Administrative Hearings.
Megan holds a juris doctor from the Florida State University College of Law, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Minor in Mass Communication Studies from the University of Florida. A member of the Florida Bar and Florida Blue Key, Megan resides in Tallahassee with her husband, Andrew.
